Internship Opportunity

The FHR seeks to appoint one or more full-time (i.e. 5 days a week) interns for a 12-month period. The internship will be located at the FHR office in Auckland Park, Johannesburg. Responsibilities:

• Work within one or more programme teams to ensure the effective implementation of activities.

• Provide administrative assistance to programme teams. Requirements and Experience:

• Apostgraduate degree in the Social Sciences, Law, International Relations, or other relevant discipline;

• Working knowledge of, and commitment to, social justice and a human rights-based approach to social change;

• Ability to work independently and commitment to working within a team;

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills;

• Prior involvement and or activism in social justice is an advantage. Application Process:

2. Do not include any copies of qualifications/certificates– these will only be required from short-listed candidates.

3. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

4. All candidates must be legally authorised to work in South Africa for the duration of the internship. The FHR is unable to provide assistance with obtaining work permits.

5. The FHR reserves the right not to fill the advertised position.
